New Year's Resolutions

i had 10 resolutions for 2010. i really tried to go by the list, but 2010 was a challenging year. in the beginning of the year i was single, i hated my job and life in general. my resolutions helped me find focus and direction in life. i became calmer and more relaxed. i got back together with the love of my life. i smiled much more. i found more time to do the things i love. i started a blog. i created a lot of fun stuff. i started to make more money and made good new friends.

as for the things i didn't accomplished, they will  go straight to 2011 list of resolutions. so in 2011 i will:

1. sleep more and get more rest

2. exercise and do yoga regularly

3. work on my relationship,

make it stronger and healthier everyday

4. start a savings account to buy a house

5. read at least one book a month

6. make professional connections

7. eat salads for lunch - 3 times a week

8. find a new fun hobby

9. find more time for my friends

10. pamper my self and my love ones

there is no real winter in israel. there are few rainy days, but usually it's sunny and warm. the nights however are cold. when i'm getting ready in the mornings it's still cold, so i must layer myself like an onion, only to peel myself out few hours later.

House stories

i moved to my current apartment almost 2 years ago and about 6 months ago, my monkey boy joined me. the building is old, but the apartment has been renovated just before i got in. now, 2 years later, things began to break and go wrong.

about a month ago, the water heater went off and been replaced. after the not so handy handyman, done working, the ceiling in our living room started leaking.

then we ran out of gas in  the apartment. so now my cooking is limited for the microwave and the stove. a big inconvenience! i spoke with the gas company and after the technician is finally arrived, he said that the gas balloons need to be relocated, due to safety regulations. meanwhile, i still can't cook and the work will be done only this weekend.

and if all this isn't enough, our neighbors water heater is leaking through the bedroom ceiling and the shower is clogged!!!

the lease is ending in the end of january and we need to decide, if we're staying or moving to a new apartment. i worry that other thing will break, leak or burn, but i really like this place. it's nice, cozy, close to a park and has a lot of parking. but if we decide to move, we will get a bigger place. so i can finally have a big bright kitchen. decisions, decisions, decisions. what shall we do?
